3-CHECKING THE DIAMETER OF CONNECTING ROD HOUSING BORES

Before disassembling the crankshaft from the engine block,all connecting rods and matching caps should be numbered according to cylinder location.

 

Should loosen cap screws then separate connecting rod and its cap from block in turn in order.

 

Bores must be checked by inside mikrometer, if bores do not meet the requierd spesifcations,it should be reconditioned.

5-CLEANING OIL HOLE’S BURRS

 

6-CLEANING OIL CANALS

Use outside mikrometer to check the grinded parts of crankshaft whether those are conical,oval or not.

 

Oil holes should cleaned by file if bores was seen in those.

 

Rush, solvent and compressed air should be used while cleaning the canals.
